Slavery is allowed in the Torah although it would be fair to say that slavery is morally incorrect. The simple explanation would probably be that the Torah doesn't advocate or encourage slavery. On the contrary, the Torah limits the use of slaves and institutes laws of shmita and yovel etc etc. Can the same understanding be applied to shechitah?
