The Ramabam is specific ומה מקום לכל התורה כולה. “What place were there to be for the ENTIRE TORAH” if you state about any one mitzvah being impossible for any one jew to fulfill you’ve denied the entire thing. Im not ח״ו accusing Dovid Lichtenstein of intentional apikorsus but as is well know statement from Reb Chaim Soloveitchik that a mistaken apikores is also an apikores. Let the torah be your guide amd not the zeitgeist of narishkeit and fake science.

Were obligated as frum jews who must belive in Maimonides thirteen principles of faith that the torah before us is the one given to moses on sinai that it is eternal and will never be changed or subject to change amd that god rewards us for our good deeds and punishes us for our transgressions. If we were to think of homosexuality different than any other mitzvah in the torah such as shabbas, kashrus tefillin matzah succoh etc’ that those are manageably hard but the לאו of משכב זכר is

If we were to assume Lichtensteins sympathetic positions and argument on homosexuality that Nebech how can we condemn a naturally born homosexual to a celibate and lonly life based on pseudoscience and a self reporting completely otherwise amazing frum boy who simply was born homosexual and cannot control the desire then the commandment of לאו of the תשכב couldnt apply to this boy just as the rambam states והוא מתחלת ברייתו כבר נגזר או תולדתו תמשך אותו לדבר שאי אפשר לזוז ממנו.

I once heard said and I forget from who that in the event of a contradiction between torah and science one of two things must be true. Either the science is mistaken or alternatively atively your interpretation of it is mistaken or your interpretation of the Torah is mistaken. In the case of homosexuality where there is no science one way or another then we turn to the torah with no need for any reconciliation of the two studies. The Rambam writes “
